Volunteer InformationAs a Twitch miniature painter, Geekette has always been a huge supporter of mental health awareness and is an official Ambassador for TakeThis.org The community brought to her attention the need to promote inclusivity in the wargaming space, and so she reached out to fellow streamers to encourage this change.
Zambies is a miniature artist and content creator across multiple platforms such as Twitch and YouTube. She focuses on inspiring others to be creative and expanding the hobby community to be more inclusive for all.
A moderator for several Twitch streamers, JJ does not stream regularly himself, instead he prefers to spend his time helping others by modding and making Twitch a safe place for people to be themselves. He has been an ally since the 1980’s, and has two LGBTQ+ children.
Feisty is a designer, educator, and miniature enthusiast. When he's not trying to paint the eyes on tiny space soldiers, you can find him firing up the smoker and brewing some beer. He enjoys making things that people can enjoy together, whether it is smoked meats, tasty beverages, or on the tabletop.
A queer gamer, streamer, and social media professional, FairytaleFelon is excited to be back again and help behind the scenes for another year of Fabulous Marines. You can catch her on Twitch, and handing out all the hearts by liking and sharing all the awesome pieces the community will be working on this year!
Big Jim is a GM, gamer, painter, bit of a weirdo, and runs both his own channel and The Pyro Club, a tabletop gaming community channel. He will be moderating the Fabulous Marines discord, and will be setting up a number of fundraising games during the event as well.
Sov has a passion for painting miniatures and writing fun stories for his tabletop players, and is thrilled to be able to apply some of that passion to behind the scenes work with Fabulous Marines! Catch him hanging out on Discord, geeking out about his latest hyperfixation.
Asmo has been involved in gaming and technology, and the two tied together since computer screens were green. Seems to have some connection to devils or demons, but mostly that seems to involve eating ramen. He can be found often in The Pyro Club community Discord talking about D&D or Pathfinder, and when the stars align he even paints on his own channel.
The Trevor Project has worked to build a safer, more-inclusive world for the past twenty-five years. Their crisis counselors are trained to answer calls, chats, or texts from LGBTQ+ young people who reach out on a free, confidential hotline when they are struggling with issues such as coming out, LGBTQ+ identity, depression, and suicide. They also provide education, peer support, legal advocacy, and other tools, all in pursuit of their vision of a world where all LGBTQ+ young people see a bright future for themselves.
Many Fabulous Marines participants wish they had a resource like The Trevor Project when they were growing up and figuring things out. We understand the importance of helping people with feeling accepted and offering guidance during the turmoil of figuring things out about themselves and their relationships with others.
Additionally, we know the value of having resources available to help understand how best to support loved ones. We believe education on the topics of sexualities and genders is necessary for the entirety of the community as a whole, allies and LGBTQ+ folks alike.
